Professional Financial Consultants Ltd (PFC) has been established to provide independent financial advice to clients of McKenzies and beyond.

PFC is fronted by Steve Speczyk who has over 25 years experience in financial services from his early days as a building society manager.

Our Philosopy

It is quite possible for people to buy all sorts of financial products today. So why have a financial adviser at all, and what specifically can PFC provide?

Firstly, at PFC we are not product-driven. Our objectives are to:

review your current position
analyse your needs both in the short-and longer-term
simplify key issues and explain them clearly
consolidate the various areas of the financial planning process
together set and monitor financial goals.

We believe that a commitment to a long-term relationship is imperative to successful financial planning. We also believe that, despite increased technology, there is no substitute for a face-to-face meeting.

Our Services

The financial services arena is wide. We concentrate on what we do best. If there is an area that we feel we cannot fully cover - mortgages are a specific point that come to mind - we have links with trusted specialists in other areas.

Typically, we cover the following:

pension and retirement planning for the self-employed and company directors
leading those clients into retirement with ongoing investment planning
managing portfolios for the retired by the use of collective investments such as Unit Trusts. We are not authorised to advise on specific equities
general investment advice, incorporating the use of ISAs
protection planning for individuals and businesses. This includes life assurance, critical illness and income protection policies
tax planning, looking at utilising high rate tax allowances and capital gains tax exemptions and inheritance tax planning.

We operate either on a commission or fee basis and would be happy to discuss our services further with you. Any initial discussion or review would be carried out at no charge.
